Are you a first or second generation immigrant living in the US or Canada?

A first generation immigrant is someone who is born in one country and moves to another. A second generation immigrant is a child of a first generationer. 

Submissions must respond to the following prompt:

Redesign an object significant to your cultural background through the lens of your contemporary design practice.

Submissions must:
• Be a physical object
• Create a conversation of cultural identity
• Push forward the field of industrial design

If your work is selected, you must create a high fidelity prototype for display in Chicago for a month. 

Submissions can be a descriptive sketch to full process presentation.
