      When do courses begin?

        Courses are set to begin September 21, 2026.

      What will I get upon completion of this course?

        Upon completion of this program, you'll be given a certificate of completion. This certificate represents your completion of the course under the instruction of working industry leaders, and holds the merit that you've understood and mastered all elements of the course content.

    What should I expect from an Offsite intermediate course?

        For all intermediate Offsite courses, we expect students to already have a basic understanding of industrial design, including form, taste, and aesthetics. These courses are meant to help you grow and push your skills further, but having a solid foundation will help you get the most out of the course and keep up with the projects.

        You should also be comfortable with the basics of at least one 3D modeling program, as well as KeyShot or a similar rendering tool. Basic sketching skills are also important, since instructors may expect you to use these tools throughout projects without spending a lot of time covering the fundamentals.

        If you feel like you’re not quite there yet, we encourage you to build up those foundational skills before applying to one of our intermediate courses. This isn’t meant to discourage you—we just want to make sure you’re set up to succeed and get as much as possible out of the experience.

      Why is this all online?

        Offsite wants to offer course content that can be accessible to all at an affordable price. Due to our remote learning situation, we've cut out all fees bound to location-based learning. This allows you to live in your day-to-day without breaking the bank while still accessing quality design education.

      What time will Offsite take place?

        Offsite will be held within US time zones only. Recorded content will be readily available, and instructors will coordinate with students on review sessions.

      What materials will I need?

            Laptop (MacBook or PC)
            Software (Fusion 360)
            Digital Tablet (iPad or Wacom Cintiq)
            Access to presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint, or Google Slides)
            Access to a good internet connection
            Making sure you don't have audio issues
            Access to a Google email account

(function() {
  var triggers = document.querySelectorAll('.offsite-faq-trigger');
  triggers.forEach(function(trigger) {
    trigger.addEventListener('click', function() {
      var item = trigger.closest('.offsite-faq-item');
      var isOpen = item.classList.contains('open');

        el.querySelector('.offsite-faq-trigger').setAttribute('aria-expanded', 'false');

          How do I get around NYC?

            Getting around NYC is pretty easy, and we highly recommend using
            public transportation during Square One. The subway will usually
            be the fastest and most affordable way to move between Manhattan
            and Brooklyn. You can simply tap your contactless credit/debit
            card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or an OMNY card at the turnstile—no
            MetroCard needed.

            Google Maps and Apple Maps are great for figuring out which train
            or bus to take. Walking is also a big part of getting around NYC,
            so bring comfortable shoes! For shorter trips, taxis and rideshare
            are easy options, and Citi Bike is another great way to explore
            the city, with thousands of bikes and stations throughout
            Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

            Our recommendation: Subway + walking will get you
            just about everywhere you need to go during Square One.

          What should I bring to check in?

            At check-in, please be sure to bring a valid ID or legal form of
            identification.

          What should I bring to the workshops?

            For each day of the workshops, after your essentials
            (i.e., phone, wallet, etc.), you’re welcome to bring something for
            taking notes. We also recommend that you travel light since you’ll
            be on the road.

            External battery charger and cord
            Refillable water bottle
            Snacks for the journey

          Is food going to be provided?

            Food will not be provided at the conference, and attendees will
            need to accommodate themselves for all meals. However, we have
            provided a range of food options at different price points that
            you can find right around the corner from our conference. Our conference
            spaces are nestled in the heart of NYC, which offers a variety
            of restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries.

          What if I’m late to a workshop?

            Please be courteous of each workshop’s start time. If you are late,
            check in with an Advanced Design team member, and they’ll point you
            to where you need to be. When entering the venue, please be
            respectful of the other attendees and join quietly.

          Where’s the afterparty?

            Advanced Design has organized multiple afterparties:
            October 7 (welcome party), October 8 (TBD), and October 9 (TBD).
            All attendees are welcome.

          What do I do if an attendee is harassing me or another person?

            If you see conference misconduct, immediately report it to the
            conference organizers. Individuals who violate the Conference
            Code of Conduct will be expelled from the conference.
 We take our attendees’ concerns seriously. If you see something,
            say something.

          Regarding COVID-19

            We care about your health and well-being, as well as preventing
            the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19. Masks are
            required for indoor activities, such as workshops, lectures,
            and panels. Additionally, if you experience fever, cold, or
            flu-like symptoms, we advise you to stay home.

	Code of Conduct
	Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Inappropriate sexual language and imagery is not tolerated for any conference venue, including lectures, workshops, parties, Instagram and other online media. Sole discretion to remove an individual resides with Advanced Design, the conference organizers. This conference is not an avenue for making others uncomfortable with unwanted suggestive advances.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded badges. If you see something, say something.

	ADA Accessiblity

	Our current provision of ADA compliance only includes physical accommodations for those alternatively abled utilizing mobility aids. As an organization of individuals coming from a diverse set of backgrounds and abilities, we hope to accommodate as broad of a spectrum of alternative abilities as possible.

Unfortunately we are still unable to fully accommodate this through visual, hearing, and other abilities. By providing notes on spaces that are ADA accessible, our goal is to be transparent about the type of accommodations we are able to provide, but also understanding that we still have a long way to go in terms of where we would like to be.
