This course offers an introduction to the processes and tools designers utilize to solve intricate and ambiguous problems and generate innovative solutions. The course begins by exploring various techniques for dissecting and comprehending complex issues. Following this, you'll dive into a hands-on design challenge, giving you the opportunity to navigate through crucial phases of the design process. This includes defining the problem, analyzing it using established and personal frameworks, igniting creative ideas, and ultimately, forming your own distinct viewpoint.

Kat Reiser
Kat Reiser, a distinguished design strategist, stands out in her field. With a foundation in industrial design and a Master of Design Methods from the Institute of Design, she tackles significant social issues of our time. During the day, Kat is a Senior Design Strategist at Booz Allen Hamilton, working with federal government clients to address national challenges through creative design approaches. Outside of her day job, she shares her wealth of knowledge and experience with the Offsite community.
