In this course, students will explore the dynamic field of Generative AI (GenAI), discovering the array of tools at their disposal, their ongoing development, and their integration into design workflows. They will learn to leverage GenAI for enhancing the conceptualization phase, boosting the speed and breadth of idea generation, enriching visual presentations, and utilizing operational tools to streamline the design business.
Instruction will focus on practical guidance and essential workflows to optimize the benefits and outputs from GenAI technologies. Required for the course are a computer and access to specific software and platforms including vizcom.ai, Midjourney, runway.ml, Adobe Creative Cloud, and OpenAI. The use of trial versions or free editions of these tools will be adequate for completing the coursework.
Offsite Pro
Offsite Pro is designed for individuals with design experience, meaning with a prior design education are eligible and encouraged to enroll in this course.
Students are expected to be proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Photoshop. They should be adept at using descriptive language and effectively communicating ideas verbally. Additionally, a fundamental grasp of abstract and critical thinking is essential.

Pooria Sohi, born in Britain with Iranian heritage, is an innovative creative technologist and consultant residing in Oakland, California.
