Design brand Vitra has opened a showroom in a Chinatown loft overlooking the Manhattan Bridge gateway, serving as a retail and events space filled with new and classic products.

Located on the third floor at 46 Bowery, just south of Canal Street, the space formerly housed the Jing Fong dim sum restaurant and features a full wall of windows overlooking the Beaux-Arts entrance to the Manhattan Bridge. Vitra has transformed the 582-square-metre (6,264-square-foot) loft into a New York hub for its Vitra and Artek teams, combining a public showroom with offices and event space.
